le-os-install
The LE-OS installer, on the live/installation ISO.
le-os-install guided installation (terminal UI)
le-os-install --config FILE unattended installation from a TOML file
le-os-install --dry-run ... show every step, change nothing
le-os-install --example an example configuration file
le-os-install --list-disks the disks and whether they can be used
le-os-install --hash-password password on stdin -> crypt hash for the file
What it does: erases the chosen disk and partitions it (UEFI: GPT with a 1 GiB EFI
system partition and an ext4 root; BIOS: GPT with a 1 MiB BIOS boot partition and an
ext4 root), installs base, linux, linux-firmware, mkinitcpio and grub (plus iwd for
Wi-Fi and any extra packages) with lpm --root from the live system's repositories,
sets host name, time zone, keymap, language, fstab, network (systemd-networkd, the live
system's Wi-Fi networks), services and accounts, and builds the initramfs and the GRUB
configuration inside the new system. The disks holding the running system or the
LE-OS medium are never offered. Log: /var/log/le-os-install.log (copied into the new
system). After a guided installation the choices are saved to
/root/le-os-install.toml for repeating it unattended.
Build: cargo build --release; tests: cargo test. Licence: GPL-2.0-or-later.
