le-os/iso
Builds the LE-OS live and installation ISO: a hybrid image that boots from CD, DVD or USB stick on UEFI and BIOS machines.
mkleiso- the build script (run as root on LE-OS; seemkleiso --help)publish-iso- uploads test builds and releases to the download serverprofile/- the release profile: package list, files overlaid on the live root, enabled services, the live initramfs configuration and the GRUB menuinitcpio/- thele-os-livemkinitcpio hook that finds the ISO by its label, mountsle-os/x86_64/airootfs.sfsand puts a tmpfs overlay on top
Requirements on the build host: lpm, squashfs-tools, libisoburn (xorriso), mtools, grub (with the i386-pc and x86_64-efi platforms), a signed local core repository.
./mkleiso -o ~/iso-out --gpg-key <packager key>
Publishing (publish-iso --help): every build goes to iso/testing/ first; once it
has been tested, release moves it to iso/YYYY.MM.DD/, points iso/latest at it and
writes the download page iso/index.html. Releases must carry a good signature by a
key in the lpm keyring.
./publish-iso testing ~/iso-out/le-os-2026.11.03-x86_64.iso lpm-publish@10.10.10.95
./publish-iso release 2026.11.03 lpm-publish@10.10.10.95
Boot parameters of the live system are listed by mkinitcpio -H le-os-live.
mkleiso and the hook are adapted from Arch Linux's archiso and mkinitcpio-archiso and are licensed GPL-3.0-or-later like them (LICENSE).
